In Vietnam, paragliding is the most popular aerial experience activity, where visitors fly in tandem with a professional pilot and gently “drift” through the sky while enjoying breathtaking views from above. Meanwhile, skydiving , which involves a free fall from an airplane, is not yet widely available in Vietnam and is mainly offered in countries such as Dubai, Thailand, or other dedicated extreme sports destinations. 👉 Therefore, in Vietnam, the most common and accessible way to experience flying is paragliding, which is suitable even for first-time participants.

🛫 1. Leaving the ground: falling or flying?
▪️ Skydiving: The experience begins at the door of an airplane, helicopter, or hot air balloon at a “huge” altitude (usually from 3,000m to 4,000m). You truly have to jump into the open sky, facing the vast empty space beneath your feet. ▪️ Paragliding: Much gentler and more accessible. You don’t actually jump! You start from a slope or mountain peak. Together with a pilot, you only need a few running steps; the canopy inflates with air and gently lifts you off the ground in a smooth, effortless takeoff.
