On the morning of April 19, as part of a series of activities celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Quỳ Hợp District (April 19, 1963 – April 19, 2023), a paragliding performance took place. The event was held in the area of Nậm Tôn Bridge, Châu Quang Commune, Quỳ Hợp District. 📌 Note: the event took place on 19 April 2023, as part of Quy Hop district's 60th anniversary celebrations.
🛺 How paramotors differ from paragliders
Unlike traditional paragliding, this type uses a motorized propeller worn on the pilot’s back, allowing takeoff from flat ground without the need for hills, towing systems, or reliance on wind or thermal currents.
A paragliding team of around 30 pilots from across the country gathered in Quỳ Hợp to participate in the performance marking the district’s anniversary. The pilots performed flights close to the rice fields in Châu Quang Commune and over Thung Mây Lake, located in the center of Quỳ Hợp Town.
With the participation of some of Vietnam’s top powered paragliding pilots, the event delivered spectacular performances for local residents and visitors.
