On the morning of April 19, as part of a series of activities celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Quy Hop District (April 19, 1963 – April 19, 2023), a paragliding performance took place. The event was held in the area of Nam Ton Bridge, Chau Quang Commune, Quy Hop District. 📌 Note: the event took place on 19 April 2023, as part of Quy Hop district's 60th anniversary celebrations.
🛺 How paramotors differ from paragliders
Unlike traditional paragliding, this type uses a motorized propeller worn on the pilot’s back, allowing takeoff from flat ground without the need for hills, towing systems, or reliance on wind or thermal currents.
A paragliding team of around 30 pilots from across the country gathered in Quy Hop to participate in the performance marking the district’s anniversary. The pilots performed flights close to the rice fields in Chau Quang Commune and over Thung May Lake, located in the center of Quy Hop Town.
